AFTER SEA AESTHETICS, Inc.. is owned and operated by Kayden Rodhe. Her  desire to work from  home and an untapped  talent  in the art of blending scents and packaging design sparked the beginning of this company while living in Paris, France.  She and her husband at the time were preparing to move to Maui with a baby on the way and a desire to create something unique to offer to the marketplace.  The logo (put logo) is a symbol of After Sea Aesthetics and is also the name of her daughter Asa, who was born in 1990, the same year the company started up.

Kayden’s creativity plus  the natural flow of expansion and growth has made After Sea Aesthetics evolve into a manifestation of offerings that delight the senses. The path of her creations  began with  her very first essence  called eau de cologne . It was with this unique scent that she taught herself  the art of perfume  making as well as silk-screening. Through much trial and error, she worked out the myriad of elements it takes to run a small perfume business. She then tried her hand at her second  original scent called halia. Soon after that, she became fascinated  with combining colors and shapes which led her into the world of beads and gemstones where she uses her artful eye to create her Keystone Keyrings and Earthstone Necklaces.  She has recently began creating a new line of healing gemstone jewelry which revolve around the Kunzite crystal.  

In 2004, Kayden received a  maile lei whose lovely scent actually inspired her to teach herself the art of candle making so she could have that amazing aroma around her all the time….over the years, she eventually came up with an ideal recipe of beeswax and soybean oil which allows all of her candles to burn cleanly and completely while giving a soft, warm glow. She now has 13 gorgeous tropical scents plus an aroma free candle available.

The maile scent was also instrumental in the creation of Rain Forest, her third fragrance.  Rain Forest and ASA(logo) cologne were the two major items made by ASA(logo) for quite awhile…up until the moment a knee injury led to time off from Kayden’s avid tennis life and time for more creation in her business life.  The whole Tropical Elements line was inspired by the beautiful drive from Lahaina along the Pali Coast and  back home to Upcountry  Kula.  From hand-silk-screening and filling  the perfume bottles,  to hand-pouring the Beeswax candles, to preparing the lotions and gels  for the stores, and making gift sets, Kayden keeps quite busy with all the details of putting a full product line out into the marketplace.

In 2006 , Kayden was inspired to create a new line which is quite  delectable and colorful in its packaging and style. The scrumptious new line called Tropical Delights uses the same nourishing lotion base and beeswax candle recipe. Since then, Kayden has been involved in discovering and using daily many new health and well-being products which you can explore in the new  Infinite Wellness  portion of  this site.
